Figure 02 is the second-generation general-purpose humanoid robot developed by Figure AI, a US robotics company based in California. Designed for commercial deployment, it stands approximately 1.68 meters tall, weighs around 70 kilograms, and features improved dexterous hands, six onboard RGB cameras, and dual GPUs that provide several times the computing performance of its predecessor. The robot is powered by Helix, Figure’s vision-language-action model, which enables real-time perception, reasoning, and upper-body manipulation across a wide variety of objects and tasks. This AI system allows Figure 02 to generalize beyond fixed automation workflows while adapting to changing environments. Figure 02 became one of the first humanoid robots to perform sustained production work in an automotive factory. At BMW’s Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, the robot was deployed on the chassis assembly line to insert sheet-metal components, operating during regular production shifts. According to Figure, the deployment handled tens of thousands of parts associated with more than 30,000 vehicles.
