Company Story

GXO Logistics is the world's largest pure-play contract logistics provider, spun off from XPO Logistics in 2021. With 150,000+ employees and 1,000+ facilities, GXO is the industry's most aggressive adopter of humanoid robotics, deploying Digit (Agility), Apollo (Apptronik), and Reflex robots, the first logistics provider operating humanoids commercially.

History

GXO conducted a proof-of-concept with Digit at a SPANX warehouse in late 2023. On June 5, 2024, Digit entered commercial operations near Atlanta, the logistics industry's first commercial humanoid deployment and first humanoid RaaS deployment.

GXO partnered simultaneously with three robotics developers: Agility (Digit), Apptronik (Apollo), and Reflex Robotics. Each brings distinct capabilities for different warehouse tasks.

CEO Malcolm Wilson announced retirement in 2025, having transformed GXO into the world's leading contract logistics provider and undisputed leader in humanoid robot deployment.
