Unitree RoboticsUltra-lightweight humanoid platform for research, education, and embodied AI development.
Unitree R1 is a compact humanoid robot designed for research, education, and embodied AI development. The standard R1 stands about 1.23 meters tall and weighs approximately 29 kilograms with its battery. It offers 26 degrees of freedom, including articulated legs, arms, waist, and head, and supports fully open control interfaces for joints and sensors. Unitree equips R1 with an integrated large multimodal model for voice and image interaction, while its software stack supports mainstream simulation platforms and secondary development. The platform emphasizes agile movement, accessibility, and ease of maintenance, positioning it as a lower-cost entry point for humanoid robotics research and application development. Unitree lists the R1 from US$5,900, with an R1 Air variant starting at US$4,900 and an EDU configuration available separately.
