About Apollo 2

Apollo 2 is the second-generation Apollo humanoid robot from Apptronik, a US robotics company based in Austin, Texas, that emerged from the University of Texas Human Centered Robotics Lab. Designed for commercial work in logistics and manufacturing, Apollo 2 retains a human-scale form factor while introducing a modular mobility system that can be configured as either a bipedal walking robot or a wheeled platform depending on the application. Hot-swappable battery packs enable continuous operation across extended shifts. Apptronik emphasizes safe human-robot collaboration through force-controlled actuators, configurable safety zones, rapid emergency stop response, and an expressive LED face and chest display that communicate the robot’s status. Apollo 2 is powered by Apptronik’s software platform, including the Artemis whole-body control system and Fleet Connect for fleet management. Target applications include order fulfillment, packing, automotive kitting, machine tending, and material handling. Building on successful commercial deployments with Mercedes-Benz and GXO Logistics, Apptronik has partnered with Jabil to manufacture Apollo robots at scale.
