North is the first full-body robot developed by Sharpa, an AI robotics company headquartered in Singapore with research and manufacturing operations in Shanghai. Unveiled at CES 2026, the platform is built around high-performance dexterous manipulation and embodied AI, showcasing Sharpa’s approach to robots that can perform complex human-like hand tasks with exceptional precision. The robot integrates SharpaWave, the company’s biomimetic robotic hands, each featuring 22 active degrees of freedom and dense tactile sensing with more than 1,000 tactile pixels per fingertip. Mounted on a wheeled mobile base, North combines advanced manipulation with autonomous mobility while running Sharpa’s vision-tactile-language-action model and CraftNet manipulation framework. Together, these systems enable real-time perception, reasoning, and precise control during complex multi-step tasks.
