Tactile manipulation robot with 66 degrees of freedom and whole-body electronic skin.
Sharpa D01 is an integrated humanoid manipulation platform unveiled at IROS 2026 on September 28, 2026. It combines two seven-degree-of-freedom arms, Sharpa Wave dexterous hands, whole-body electronic skin and a native teleoperation system for contact-rich manipulation and robot training. The robot has 66 total degrees of freedom including its hands, human-scale spherical wrist joints and an NVIDIA Jetson Thor processor. Sharpa specifies a rated payload of 5 kg per arm, maximum end-effector speed above 10.5 m/s and end-effector repeatability of ±0.2 mm. Its four-layer tactile E-skin detects contact across the body, with force resolution of 0.2 N and tactile sampling at 100 Hz. D01 has a height-adjustable structure measuring 1,109–1,624 mm and weighs approximately 40 kg excluding its chassis. The platform is designed for precision manipulation, teleoperation and collecting demonstration data. Sharpa accepts sales enquiries, but has not published a price, delivery schedule or production volume.
