About CLOiD

CLOiD is a home-focused humanoid robot from LG Electronics, the South Korean consumer-electronics maker. Instead of a walking biped aimed at factories, CLOiD pairs a humanoid upper body with a wheeled autonomous base, so it moves around a house rather than on legs. It has two arms with seven degrees of freedom each, ending in five-fingered hands for grasping and fine manipulation of everyday objects. The robot carries a display, speaker, cameras, and a sensor array for voice interaction, expressive communication, and navigation, and LG connects it to its ThinQ appliance ecosystem. LG frames CLOiD as a mobile smart-home helper for indoor household tasks, drawing on the company's broader physical-AI work using vision-language and vision-language-action models.
