Affordable educational humanoid with up to 25 DoF, Jetson AI, and open developer tools.
Vibe A1 is a compact humanoid robot developed by Vibe Robotics, a startup based in West Lafayette, Indiana, founded by Purdue University students. Designed to make humanoid robotics more accessible, the platform targets education, research, and robotics development by offering an affordable, programmable system for learning embodied AI, locomotion, and human-robot interaction. The robot is available in three configurations. The Mini model features 19 degrees of freedom and runs on a Raspberry Pi 5, while the Standard and Pro models offer 25 degrees of freedom powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano for onboard AI computing. Across the product line, Vibe A1 supports autonomous walking, balancing, teleoperation, object manipulation, and computer vision through integrated cameras and open software tools.
