About AI Worker

AI Worker is a semi-humanoid mobile manipulator developed by ROBOTIS, a robotics company from South Korea with United States operations. Unlike bipedal humanoids, it uses a wheeled swerve-drive base, with three independently steered wheels for traction and precise movement, topped by a human-like upper body. The platform is built entirely around the company's DYNAMIXEL smart actuators and pairs dual seven-degree-of-freedom arms with grippers, a movable head, and a lift, for a total of roughly 19 to 25 degrees of freedom depending on configuration. Perception comes from several RGBD cameras, including a head-mounted ZED Mini and hand-mounted Intel RealSense units, plus 2D LiDAR and an inertial sensor, while an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin handles onboard AI. ROBOTIS aims AI Worker at industrial jobs such as assembly, inspection, and logistics in changing environments, using imitation and reinforcement learning to acquire skills. It is currently a development platform rather than a mass-market product, and stands out for turning ROBOTIS' long-running actuator ecosystem into a complete, ready-to-program embodied AI system.
