Saudi-built social humanoid with bilingual AI, culturally aware interaction, and public service applications.
SARA is a social humanoid robot developed by QSS AI & Robotics, a robotics company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Introduced as the country’s first Saudi-developed humanoid robot, SARA was created to provide culturally aware, multilingual interactions across public, commercial, and educational environments. The platform reflects Saudi identity through its appearance, clothing, and conversational style while supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 technology and innovation initiatives. Designed as a female android, SARA wears a traditional abaya and communicates fluently in both Arabic and English. The robot is powered by QSS’s proprietary conversational AI platform, enabling natural dialogue without relying on external language models. Its responses are intentionally aligned with local cultural norms and social expectations, making it suitable for customer engagement, exhibitions, tourism, education, and public-facing services.
