UBTECH founder and CEO Zhou Jian announced on September 16 that deliveries had formally started. The first recipients include Shanghai Yongda Group, Beijing Bosh Group and South Korea’s Galaxy Robot Park, according to Chinese robotics publication Gasgoo.
The U1 series was introduced on June 30 under UBTECH’s consumer-focused UWORLD brand. The lineup spans three configurations. U1 Lite is a half-body system priced at RMB 119,800, while the full-body U1 Pro costs RMB 169,800. The higher-end U1 Ultra is priced at RMB 880,000 for the female version and RMB 990,000 for the male version.
UBTECH reported 13,361 orders across online and offline channels as of June 30. The company had previously said first deliveries would begin September 16 and that it aimed to deliver orders placed during the initial sales period by the end of 2026. The 13,361 figure is company-reported.
The U1 line is designed primarily for emotional companionship and human interaction rather than domestic work such as cooking or cleaning. The robots use human-proportioned bodies, synthetic skin and articulated facial systems. UBTECH says the platform has 88 degrees of freedom and its emotional model can identify more than 20 categories of emotion. These capability figures are company-reported.
The U1 Pro is available in male and female configurations measuring 183 cm and 168 cm respectively. The higher-end Ultra incorporates more than 60 active degrees of freedom and substantially higher onboard compute for more dynamic movement and interaction.
