The companies plan to establish a joint venture that will operate as the Fujian headquarters of the UBTECH Ecosystem Technology Center. The organization will coordinate regional business development, robot maintenance, technical training, application development and equipment leasing.
C&D Inc., a publicly listed subsidiary of Fortune Global 500 company Xiamen C&D Group, operates businesses spanning supply chain management, property development and financial services. Its commercial network will provide distribution channels and potential deployment environments for UBTECH’s robotics portfolio.
The partnership will initially focus on applications in logistics and warehousing, security inspections and public-space services. The companies also intend to explore financing arrangements that could support wider commercial adoption.
UBTECH has been expanding its humanoid robotics business across industrial manufacturing, commercial services and consumer applications. Its Walker series has already entered automotive manufacturing environments, while the company continues developing software for coordinated multi-robot operations.
The 10,000-unit figure represents a joint sales objective through 2030. Neither company has disclosed a corresponding purchase commitment, guaranteed order volume or delivery schedule.
The agreement adds a distribution and commercialization partner to UBTECH’s expanding robotics ecosystem, with C&D contributing established industrial relationships, operational infrastructure and access to potential customers.
The companies have not disclosed the joint venture’s ownership structure, initial investment or expected timeline for its establishment.
