Sensing
- Real-time terrain perception and fusion of self-perception plus environmental perception for complex terrain traversal
A full size humanoid robot capable of dynamic locomotion across stairs, uneven terrain, and heavy load industrial tasks using real time terrain perception.
CL-1 is a full-size bipedal humanoid robot developed by LimX Dynamics, a robotics company based in Shenzhen, China, founded in 2022. As the company’s first complete humanoid platform, it builds on LimX’s earlier work in legged robotics and is designed to demonstrate advanced mobility across complex real-world environments. CL-1 integrates real-time perception, gait planning, and whole-body motion control to navigate uneven terrain, climb stairs with alternating steps, descend slopes, step onto curbs, and transition smoothly between indoor and outdoor environments. Reported specifications indicate the robot stands approximately 1.6 meters tall, weighs around 50 kilograms, and features about 20 degrees of freedom driven by LimX’s self-developed high-performance actuators. The company is targeting applications including industrial inspection, smart manufacturing, logistics, hazardous environments, and future service robotics.
