Vega is a mobile manipulation robot developed by Dexmate, a robotics company based in Santa Clara, California. Designed as a general-purpose platform for research, industrial automation, and future household applications, Vega combines a human-scale upper body with an omnidirectional wheeled base to deliver stable mobility and high-performance manipulation. Its architecture prioritizes reach, endurance, and developer flexibility over bipedal locomotion. The robot stands approximately 1.7 meters tall, weighs around 135 kilograms, and features 36 degrees of freedom, including two seven-degree-of-freedom robotic arms capable of lifting up to 15 kilograms each. A foldable torso allows the platform to collapse to approximately 66 centimeters for transport and storage before extending to reach heights of up to 2.2 meters. Vega integrates cameras, LiDAR, force sensing, and an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin for perception, autonomous operation, and AI-powered manipulation. Depending on workload, the battery supports more than 10 hours of continuous operation and up to 30 hours under lighter use.
