Making full-size humanoid robotics accessible through open-source hardware and developer-first platforms.
Asimov is an open-source robotics company developing accessible humanoid platforms for developers, researchers, and robotics enthusiasts. Rather than building closed commercial systems, the company focuses on lowering the barriers to humanoid development through open hardware, software, and community-driven innovation. Its flagship platform, Here Be Dragons, is a full-size DIY humanoid robot kit that allows users to build, customize, and program their own humanoid robot for embodied AI research, education, and experimentation. By combining open-source designs with relatively affordable hardware, Asimov aims to accelerate innovation and broaden participation in humanoid robotics.

Asimov 1 Begins Shipping Its First Production Batch
Asimov is preparing to ship the first production batch of its Asimov 1, an open-source humanoid kit designed to give developers and researchers access to a full-scale robotics platform at a significantly lower cost.
RoboticoAsimov emerged from Menlo Research, a Singapore-based applied R&D lab founded in 2023. The project gained attention in late 2025 by building in public.
Asimov open-sourced its humanoid legs design in January 2026, reinforcing its community-driven approach.
In early 2026, Asimov announced near-completion of full-body assembly and launched preorders for 'Here Be Dragons' at $15,000.
