HUMANOID ROBOTPROTOTYPE

About HOPEJr

HOPEJr is an open-source full-size humanoid robot developed by The Robot Studio in collaboration with Hugging Face’s LeRobot team. Created to make humanoid robotics more accessible, the platform combines low-cost hardware with an open software ecosystem, allowing researchers, universities, startups, and individual developers to build, modify, and train their own humanoid robots. The project is designed around affordability, with an estimated build cost of approximately US$3,000. The robot features 66 degrees of freedom, dexterous hands, and a predominantly 3D-printed modular structure that simplifies assembly, maintenance, and customization. It integrates directly with the LeRobot framework, supporting teleoperation, demonstration data collection, policy training, and deployment of embodied AI models. The open-source hardware includes CAD files, simulation models, electronics, and firmware, enabling developers to reproduce and extend the platform.
