Proception AIDexterous robotic hand with 22 DoF, tendon-driven actuation, and integrated tactile sensing.
ProHand is a dexterous robotic hand developed by Proception, a robotics company based in Mountain View, California. Designed for next-generation humanoid robots and embodied AI research, ProHand focuses on human-level dexterity through a combination of tendon-driven mechanics, integrated tactile sensing, and scalable robot learning. The company pairs the hardware with its ProGlove data collection system to capture high-quality human manipulation data for training robotic foundation models. The hand features 22 degrees of freedom with multiple joints per finger, using a tendon-driven architecture that closely mirrors the mechanics of the human hand while keeping the fingers lightweight and compact. Integrated tactile and joint position sensing enables adaptive grasping, compliant manipulation, and precise force control across contact-rich tasks. The platform is engineered for durability, serviceability, and seamless integration into humanoid robots and AI research systems.
Designed to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple environments.
