UBTECH is showing strong momentum in humanoid robotics, reporting a 104% year-on-year increase in first-half revenue to RMB 1.27 billion in its 2026 interim report.
The company also reported 16,123 humanoid robots shipped, highlighting the growing scale of its commercial operations. Even more striking, revenue from full-size humanoid robots surged 1,445% to RMB 590 million, signaling a rapid shift from development and demonstrations toward real-world deployment.
Three-Pronged Strategy UBTECH’s growth is built around a three-pronged strategy focused on expanding humanoid robot applications, strengthening its technology, and scaling commercial deployment. This approach is helping the company move beyond individual robot products toward a broader robotics ecosystem.
Behind that expansion is continued investment in research and development. UBTECH spent more than RMB 300 million on R&D during the first half of the year, supported by a team of 1,103 engineers. The investment reflects the complexity of building humanoids capable of performing useful tasks reliably in real-world environments.
The sharp increase in full-size humanoid revenue is particularly significant. As the industry moves toward mass deployment, the ability to manufacture, ship, and generate revenue from robots at scale could become just as important as breakthroughs in AI and hardware.
UBTECH’s latest results suggest that China’s humanoid robotics industry is entering a new phase—one where the focus is shifting from what humanoid robots can do to how many can actually be deployed.
With growing shipments, rapidly increasing humanoid revenue, and continued investment in R&D, UBTECH is positioning itself at the forefront of the global Physical AI race.
The humanoid era is moving from prototypes to production and UBTECH is betting on scale.
