UBTECH Humanoid Revenue Surges 1,445% in H1 2026

UBTECH Robotics reported a sharp acceleration in its humanoid robotics business during the first half of 2026, with full-size humanoids emerging as the company’s largest growth engine.

Revenue from full-size humanoids reached RMB 590 million ($88 million), up 1,445% year-over-year and accounting for 46.5% of total revenue.

UBTECH shipped 921 full-size humanoids during the first half, compared with 45 during the same period last year. The company also shipped 15,202 smaller humanoid robots, bringing total humanoid shipments to 16,123 units.

Most of the full-size business is coming from industrial customers. Enterprise customization generated RMB 569 million, or 96.4% of full-size humanoid revenue. UBTECH has been working with manufacturers including BYD, Geely, Foxconn and Airbus on applications such as material handling, parts sorting and inspection.

Margins improved as volumes increased. Gross margin for full-size humanoids reached 66.8%, up from 47.3% in H1 2025. Company-wide gross margin rose to 44.7%.

UBTECH is still operating at a loss. Net loss narrowed 23% to RMB 339 million ($50 million), while adjusted EBITDA loss fell 45.9% to RMB 170 million.

R&D spending increased 38.9% to RMB 303 million during the period. UBTECH currently has 1,103 R&D employees and 3,112 granted patents.
