The targets were disclosed in a new presentation published for Agility’s October 6 Analyst and Investor Day. The company currently reports commitments covering nine customer facilities and says additional deployments are underway with manufacturing and logistics companies that it has not identified.
Agility also provided greater detail on its previously disclosed $300 million plus Digit 5 order book. The entire figure relates to 1,000 robots under a three year Robots as a Service contract with one undisclosed purchaser. The agreement includes warrants that vest proportionately as robots are deployed. Agility stressed that the headline value depends on contractual milestones and does not represent current period revenue.
The order will be released in tranches as Digit 5 demonstrates specific use cases. Agility said each use case unlocks additional batches of robots, with throughput targets agreed with the customer. The contract covers three years of service over a four year period, meaning revenue will ramp alongside deployments.
The company’s illustrative commercial model prices Digit at $8,500 per month under RaaS, plus an approximately $25,000 deployment fee. An ownership option assumes a roughly $200,000 purchase price, a $20,000 deployment fee and $36,000 annually for software and maintenance. Agility estimates five year revenue of approximately $500,000 per RaaS robot or $400,000 under the ownership model.
Management’s model assumes RaaS product margins increase from approximately 50 percent at launch to 75 percent at annual production of 10,000 robots. Digit 5 is expected to carry a bill of materials of approximately $150,000 at commercial launch, with Agility targeting roughly $30,000 per unit at annual production of 10,000 robots. The company expects the reduction to come from actuator redesign, standardized components and volume based supplier discounts. Those margin figures exclude corporate research, development and administrative expenses and depend on Agility achieving its forecast cost reductions.
Digit 5 is scheduled for limited deployment with existing partners during the first half of 2027, followed by general availability by year end. European and UK availability remains subject to regulatory approvals. RoboFab has stated annual capacity of 10,000 robots, although Agility has not published a 2027 production target.
