Johnson will participate as an individual consultant to MITRE, separate from Agility’s commercial operations. Her role does not represent a Digit procurement, military pilot or commercial agreement between Agility and the Department.
Agility said Johnson will draw on the company’s experience deploying humanoid robots in commercial logistics. She identified physically demanding and repetitive logistics work, supply-chain support and operational assistance as areas where humanoids could potentially support military personnel.
Project Meridian is developing strategic recommendations intended to inform long-term defense capability development and investment priorities. MITRE lists Johnson among a wider participant group that includes technology executives, policy specialists and former government and military leaders. Agility says Digit has accumulated more than 65,000 hours of real-world operation. That is a company-reported total across its operating history and should not be interpreted as autonomous military testing or defense deployment experience.
