About Meila

Meila is a family of humanoid robots developed by Midea Group, one of China’s largest home appliance manufacturers. As part of Midea’s broader embodied AI strategy, the company has created two complementary humanoid product lines: the industrial-focused MIRO series and the service-oriented Meila series. Meila is designed for customer interaction, smart home assistance, and commercial service applications, extending Midea’s expertise in connected appliances into robotics. The latest model, Mei La X, is a compact bipedal humanoid built for indoor environments where space is limited. The platform is designed to guide customers, demonstrate products, and operate household appliances including washing machines, refrigerators, coffee machines, and other smart home devices. Integration with Midea’s appliance ecosystem allows the robot to interact naturally with connected products while providing conversational assistance and demonstrations.
