Noetix was founded in September 2023 by Jiang Zheyuan, who left Tsinghua doctoral studies at age 25 to commercialize humanoid robotics.
Five funding rounds since founding, including Pre-B (~$41M) and Pre-B+ (~$28M), brought valuation to ~$200 million. Noetix aims for 1,000 units/month production.
The breakout came on April 7, 2025, at the world's first humanoid half-marathon in Beijing. The N2 robot finished as first runner-up, completing 21 km in 3 hours 37 minutes. This generated 2,500+ pre-orders and tripled the valuation.
In October 2025, Noetix unveiled Bumi at RMB 9,998 (~$1,380), cheaper than an iPhone. Over 100 units sold in the first hour on JD.com. The company also introduced Hobbs W1 with a lifelike bionic head.
