Enchanted Tools is a Paris-based robotics company building Mirokai, expressive companion humanoid robots that balance on a self-stabilizing ball and blend Pixar-like design with utility for healthcare, hospitality, and eldercare.
Enchanted Tools is a Paris-based robotics company founded in 2021 by Jérôme Monceaux, the former designer of Aldebaran’s Nao and Pepper robots. The company develops expressive humanoid service robots that combine character-driven design with embodied AI, aiming to make robots more approachable and socially accepted in everyday environments. It gained early recognition after raising one of the largest seed rounds in French robotics. Its flagship platform, Mirokai, is a companion humanoid that balances on a self-stabilizing spherical base, enabling smooth omnidirectional movement while maintaining an expressive, animated presence. Designed for healthcare, hospitality, retail, and eldercare, Mirokai combines autonomous navigation, conversational AI, and light manipulation to assist people in public and care environments.

In early 2025, Mirokai was deployed at Institut du Cancer de Montpellier for children's radiotherapy and at AP-HP Broca hospital in Paris for geriatric medicine.
Enchanted Tools was founded in 2021 in Paris by Jerome Monceaux and Samuel Benveniste. Monceaux served as Executive VP of Aldebaran/SoftBank Robotics, where he led the design of Nao and Pepper.
The startup launched with a 15 million euro seed round, the largest in French robotics, and assembled a team reaching 100+ people. Mirokai robots are fox-like humanoid creatures powered by NVIDIA Jetson chips with LLM support.
Enchanted Tools showcased Mirokai at CES 2023 and returned with a significantly redesigned version at CES 2025, with 80% of the robot changed between iterations.
