DroidUp is a Shanghai-based humanoid robotics company developing multimodal embodied AI systems and high-biomimicry android platforms. The company combines bipedal locomotion, tendon-driven actuation, expressive humanoid faces, and lifelike materials to create robots capable of natural movement and human-centered interaction. Its platforms are designed for research, education, service, industry, healthcare, and eldercare, with a focus on emotional communication, safe physical interaction, and realistic presence. DroidUp’s work reflects a broader shift toward humanoids that combine practical mobility with lifelike social intelligence.
In March 2026, DroidUp used TCT Asia to stage the public offline debut of Moya, which it described as the worlds first fully biomimetic embodied AI robot. The launch marked a clear expansion from general humanoid platforms into warm-skin, expressive android systems aimed at more social and customer-facing environments.
DroidUp traces its operating story to 2021, when the company began focusing on the R&D, production, and sale of general-purpose humanoid robots. On its official site, the company frames itself around multimodal AI and biomimetic robotics with deep technical accumulation in biped motion control and cross-modal task learning.
In February 2026, DroidUp announced the completion of a near-RMB100 million Pre-A+ financing round led by Shanghai Pudong-backed funds and joined by additional financial and industrial investors. The company said the capital would support commercialization, new application scenarios, and broader humanoid product expansion.
