Ready-to-use general-purpose humanoid robot with 31 DOF, supporting teleoperation and autonomy modes.
Elf 3 is a human-sized bipedal humanoid robot made by BXI Robotics, a Chinese startup based in Shenzhen that also produces high-performance joint motors and turnkey robotics hardware. The robot stands about 1.45 meters tall and weighs roughly 32 kilograms, with the company listing 31 degrees of freedom for the Elf 3 and high-torque joints in the legs. It ships with an open software development kit and supports both teleoperation and autonomous modes, which BXI presents as well suited to algorithm testing and sim-to-real deployment. That combination of a full bipedal body, open programming, and a relatively low mass makes it a comparatively accessible platform for university labs and developers working on locomotion, whole-body control, and manipulation.
