About ALICE 4

ALICE 4 is a full-size humanoid robot developed by AeiROBOT, a company based in Ansan, South Korea. It stands about 1.6 meters tall, weighs roughly 45 kilograms, and carries around 41 degrees of freedom across its legs, waist, arms, head, and hands. The defining feature is AeiROBOT's own reducer-less linear actuators: because they omit a gearbox, the joints are back-drivable, sensitive to current, and quiet, which supports precise force control and more natural physical contact with people. The company positions the platform for delicate assembly, complex manipulation, and work in spaces wheeled robots cannot reach, such as stairs, narrow passages, and uneven ground. Perception and computing come from a stereo depth camera, a 6-axis inertial measurement unit, foot contact sensors, and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module paired with an Intel processor. AeiROBOT showed the ALICE series at the CES 2026 Humanoid M.AX Alliance Pavilion under the slogan a robot for all. It remains an early-stage platform rather than a widely deployed commercial product.
