The standard G1+ is priced at RMB 95,000 including tax, or approximately $13,400. Pricing for the developer-focused G1+ EDU has not been disclosed. Unitree announced the robot on September 14 through its official WeChat account.
The G1+ introduces a two-degree-of-freedom neck with a pitch range of approximately -25° to 36° and yaw of ±110°. Unitree says peak torque from the shoulder and waist motors has increased 110%, while heat generation at equivalent torque has fallen 72%. Arm motor peak torque is up 43% with 30% lower heat generation, while thigh motors generate 28% less heat at equivalent torque.
Perception hardware now combines a 2-megapixel stereo camera system, 1080p wide-angle camera and 3D LiDAR. Five touch-sensitive points have been integrated into the head, allowing physical contact to trigger conversations or robot actions.
Unitree has also added a six-microphone array with direction-of-arrival localization, noise reduction and echo cancellation. Two 10-watt speakers are mounted at the waist, while an external power port allows the robot to operate continuously without relying solely on its removable battery.
The standard configuration weighs approximately 35 kg, has 25 degrees of freedom, a maximum arm payload of about 3 kg and approximately two hours of battery endurance. Its onboard computer uses an eight-core CPU, while the EDU configuration can be equipped with higher-performance compute modules for development work.
