Unitree Robotics has introduced H2-X, a new version of its full-size humanoid platform, with a demonstration focused on strength, fast movement and protective scenarios. Announced on October 21, the robot appears in a promotional video performing martial-arts sequences, striking a car door and taking part in staged rescue and personal-protection scenes. The company also claims a maximum endurance of approximately eight hours, although the conditions behind that figure matter.
According to a report from China Securities Journal citing Unitree’s official video-channel release, the eight-hour figure applies to standing operation. That is not equivalent to eight hours of continuous walking, manipulation or other power-intensive work. The video shows H2-X jumping and moving dynamically, but Unitree has not published a full technical specification, battery capacity, pricing or a commercial delivery schedule for the new version.
H2-X follows the H2 humanoid, which Unitree introduced in October 2025. The earlier machine stands roughly 1.8 metres tall and has 31 degrees of freedom, but those specifications should not automatically be assigned to H2-X. Chinese technology publications have described the new robot as an H2-derived platform, while noting that its precise hardware configuration remains undisclosed.
The company’s presentation also requires a distinction between choreographed demonstrations and operational capability. A robot shown intervening in an attack or lifting part of a vehicle in a promotional scene has not necessarily demonstrated autonomous emergency response under unpredictable conditions. Unitree has not provided independently verified results for those applications.
For now, H2-X is a noteworthy new humanoid hardware announcement with a substantial endurance claim and a focus on high-dynamic movements. Its practical operating envelope, safety requirements and availability will depend on details that Unitree has yet to release.
