Priced at $399 before taxes and shipping, Microduck weighs under 800g and uses 15 motors across its articulated legs, head and neck. The robot is also equipped with a camera, LiDAR and two IMUs for perception and movement.
Unlike Pollen’s Reachy Mini, which was built primarily around human-robot interaction, Microduck focuses on physical movement. Out of the box, it can walk, sit, crouch, kick a ball, pick up small objects with its articulated beak, roller skate and recover from common falls.
Its behaviors are driven by reinforcement learning policies that developers can retrain. Users can train movements in MuJoCo simulation, deploy them to the physical robot, identify differences between simulation and real-world performance, and iterate on the policy. The SDK, simulation environment and reinforcement learning stack are open source.
The $399 base package includes the robot, battery, USB-C cable and game controller. Pollen Robotics is targeting first deliveries before Christmas 2026 across North America, Europe and the UK.
Microduck is Pollen Robotics’ second consumer robot following Reachy Mini. The French robotics company was acquired by Hugging Face in 2025 and now operates as its robotics team.
