The robots are scheduled to begin operating on September 24 across more than 100 interaction points throughout the park. Applications include entertainment, science education, visitor guidance, retail services, companion services, hotel operations and sports, according to the companies.
The deployment uses robots from across AgiBot’s product portfolio rather than a single humanoid model. Some units will be assigned names and individual characters for direct interaction with visitors. Opening-day demonstrations are also expected to include a large-scale human-robot dance performance and an aerial robot performance.
Chimelong Spaceship Park is an existing indoor attraction rather than a newly constructed robotics park. The venue has received more than 10 million visitors since opening, according to Chimelong, giving the deployment a high-traffic public environment for operating robots across multiple service roles.
AgiBot and Chimelong will also establish a joint research institute focused on embodied AI applications in tourism. The companies previously announced their partnership in August, while the scale and September 24 operating date for the robot deployment were disclosed this month.
The figures of 300+ robots and 100+ interaction points are company-reported and have not been independently verified.
