According to a report from Chinese financial publication Caijing, the company is seeking between ¥1 billion and ¥1.5 billion ($140 million to $210 million) in additional capital.
Investors familiar with the financing told the publication that negotiations were approaching completion. AgiBot has not confirmed the reported valuation, financing amount or participating investors.
The development could also affect the company’s planned public listing in Hong Kong.
AgiBot announced preparations for a Hong Kong IPO in July 2026. At the time, investors indicated that the company was targeting a valuation of HK$40 billion to HK$50 billion.
Under applicable Hong Kong listing requirements, companies completing certain pre-IPO financing rounds may need to wait at least 120 days after the investment closes before listing, unless an exemption applies.
One investor cited by Caijing suggested that the new financing could prevent AgiBot from completing its IPO before the end of 2026.
The company has not announced a revised listing timetable.
Founded in February 2023, AgiBot has become one of China’s largest manufacturers of general-purpose humanoid and embodied AI robots.
On September 24, the company announced production of its 20,000th robot, an A3 Ultra humanoid delivered to Chimelong Group.
AgiBot reported revenue of ¥1.05 billion in 2025, reflecting rapid growth since its establishment.
The company has expanded its product portfolio across full-size humanoids, compact robots and wheeled robotic platforms, targeting industrial, commercial and research applications.
