Kyber Hand is a dexterous robotic hand developed by Kyber Labs, a robotics startup based in Brooklyn, New York. The platform is purpose-built for embodied AI, with a focus on achieving human-like manipulation through compliant, force-aware hardware that is both robust and affordable. Kyber Labs sees dexterous manipulation as a key bottleneck in robotics and has designed the hand to support large-scale AI training and real-world deployment. The hand features five fingers with 20 degrees of freedom, fully backdrivable tendon-driven joints, and torque-transparent actuation that allows it to sense contact through motor currents without relying on dedicated tactile sensors. Its mechanically compliant design enables safe interaction with delicate objects while maintaining the strength and precision needed for demanding assembly tasks. The motors are housed in the forearm to improve durability, heat management, and maintain a compact hand profile.
Designed to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple environments.
Manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and factory operations.
