Sita Robotics is a Shenzhen-based robotics technology company founded in October 2025. The company develops tactile sensing technology designed to improve how robots perceive physical contact and manipulate objects. Its core technology uses flexible photonic crystals combined with flexible photosensitive panels to convert mechanical deformation and pressure into measurable optical signals. Sita says its electronic skin can measure less than 1 millimetre thick while providing more than 10,000 sensing points per square centimetre. The technology is designed for robotic fingers, palms and other surfaces where compact, high-density tactile sensing is required. The company is also developing tactile sensing grippers, wearable data collection equipment, tactile control models and robotic manipulation systems intended to support robot learning. It operates an approximately 800-square-metre integrated research and production facility in Shenzhen covering materials development, prototyping, manufacturing and testing.
