About OpenLoong
OpenLoong is China’s first full-stack open-source humanoid robotics platform, developed by the National-Local Joint Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in Shanghai. The initiative is designed to accelerate humanoid robotics research by providing open hardware, software, and AI infrastructure that developers, researchers, and companies can build upon collaboratively. Its flagship platform, Qinglong, was unveiled at WAIC 2024 and features a full-size humanoid architecture with 43 degrees of freedom and 400 TOPS of onboard AI computing. By releasing both hardware and software through the OpenAtom Foundation on GitHub, OpenLoong promotes an open ecosystem for embodied AI development, lowering barriers to innovation and encouraging broad participation in humanoid robotics.
