History
Over five decades, Kawasaki built one of the world's largest industrial robotics businesses. In 2015, Kawasaki began developing the Kaleido humanoid, unveiled at iREX 2017 (178 cm, 85 kg, 32 DOF).
The ninth-generation Kaleido (2025) stands 190 cm, weighs 99 kg, with improved stability and dexterity. Demonstrations included household chores and disaster-zone rescue.
Kawasaki's vision extends to "flying humanoids", combining aerospace, robotics, and AI for next-generation robots in environments inaccessible to humans.
