Intel Corporation is a global semiconductor leader founded in 1968 that has expanded into robotics through Intel Capital investments in Figure AI, its RealSense depth-sensing technology (spun out in 2025), and edge processors powering humanoid robots. History

Intel RealSense (launched 2014) became widely adopted for robotic vision. In 2017, Intel acquired Mobileye for $15.3 billion. In January 2026, Mobileye acquired humanoid startup Mentee Robotics for $900 million.

Intel Capital invested $9 million in Figure AI (July 2023), then participated in Figure's $675 million Series B and $1 billion+ Series C. In mid-2025, Intel spun out RealSense as a standalone company with $50 million Series A.

At CES 2026, Intel showcased edge processors powering Oversonic's RoBee humanoid. After Pat Gelsinger's departure in December 2024, Lip-Bu Tan became CEO in March 2025.
