A concise view of platform maturity and deployment footprint.

Reinventing humanoid robotics with synthetic muscles and human-inspired anatomy.
Clone Robotics is a robotics company based in Warsaw, Poland, founded in 2021. The company is developing biomimetic humanoid robots that closely replicate human anatomy through synthetic muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and joints rather than conventional electric actuators. Its approach is inspired by human physiology, with the goal of creating robots that move with the flexibility, precision, and compliance of the human body. At the core of its technology is Myofiber, a proprietary artificial muscle system powered by hydraulic pressure that contracts in a manner similar to biological muscle. The company’s Protoclone V1 introduced one of the world’s first bipedal musculoskeletal androids, featuring more than 200 degrees of freedom and a fully biomimetic skeletal architecture. Clone Robotics is focused on advancing humanoid dexterity and natural movement through bio-inspired engineering.

In January 2025, Clone unveiled Protoclone V1 — a full-body musculoskeletal android with over 200 degrees of freedom, 1,000 Myofibers, and 500 sensors. The video garnered millions of views. Clone announced plans for 279 units in 2025, targeting research institutions and early commercial partners.
Clone Robotics traces its origins to 2020, when Dhanush Radhakrishnan discovered Polish robotics engineer Lukasz Kozlik's work on YouTube. In 2021, Radhakrishnan relocated to Poland and the pair founded Clone Robotics in Warsaw.
The early years were defined by bootstrapping. Their work progressed methodically: first a robotic hand, then a humanoid torso, each building toward a complete synthetic human body.
In 2023, Clone secured $6 million in seed funding from Initialized Capital, along with angel investors including the co-founder of Y Combinator and the former CTO of Coinbase. Total funding reached approximately $7.1 million.
