About Bedrock Robotics
Founded in 2024 in San Francisco by autonomous vehicle and robotics veterans, Bedrock Robotics builds autonomy technology for existing construction equipment rather than manufacturing new machines.
Its reversible Bedrock Operator retrofit integrates cameras, LiDAR, GPS, inertial sensing and onboard AI to operate excavators and eventually coordinate mixed fleets. The company began commercial operator-less excavator work at active US construction sites in 2026. In October 2026, it announced a $600 million Series C co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital at a reported $4.1 billion post-money valuation, bringing cumulative funding to nearly $1 billion.
