Addverb was founded in 2016 in Noida, India, by five co-founders led by CEO Sangeet Kumar, building a homegrown Indian robotics company for warehouse automation.
Addverb inaugurated Bot-Valley (50,000 robots/year capacity) in 2021 and Bot-Verse (100,000 robots/year), one of the world's largest robot manufacturing plants. Products include the Dynamo AMR, Zippy sorting robot, and Veloce picker.
Early funding came from Jalaj Dani (Asian Paints co-promoter) and GAIL India. The transformative moment came in January 2022 when Reliance Retail acquired 54% for $132 million, opening doors to Amazon, Flipkart, and FMCG companies.
