Cobalt RoboticsAutonomous indoor security robot powered by AI monitoring.
he Autonomous Indoor Security Robot is developed by Cobalt Robotics, a US company based in California that specializes in AI-powered security automation for commercial buildings. Rather than replacing human security personnel, the robot is designed to augment them by performing continuous indoor patrols, monitoring facilities, and identifying potential security or safety issues. It navigates autonomously through offices, warehouses, and corporate campuses using lidar, cameras, and onboard sensors to detect anomalies such as unauthorized access, open doors, water leaks, fire hazards, and other environmental events. Live video, sensor data, and AI analysis are monitored by Cobalt’s remote operations team, allowing human specialists to verify incidents and coordinate responses in real time. The robot is intended for long-duration operation with autonomous charging and has been deployed across office buildings, technology campuses, and industrial facilities. Cobalt’s approach combines autonomous robotics with human oversight to improve security coverage while reducing the need for routine manual patrols.
