Marc Tarpenning is an American engineer, entrepreneur and investor who co-founded Tesla in 2003 with Martin Eberhard. He previously co-founded NuvoMedia in 1997, developing the Rocket eBook before the company was sold in 2000. After leaving Tesla, Tarpenning became an investor and advisor and is now a Venture Partner at Spero Ventures, investing in early-stage technology and sustainability companies.
