Ian Wright is an engineer and entrepreneur best known as a Co-Founder of Tesla. He joined Tesla in late 2003 as one of its earliest employees and served as Vice President of Vehicle Development, helping shape the company’s initial electric-vehicle engineering program. He left Tesla at the end of 2004 and founded Wrightspeed in January 2005, developing electric powertrains for heavy commercial vehicles.
