The Engineering Intelligence Lab, inaugurated on October 12, uses NVIDIA technologies to help manufacturers simulate, test and validate AI-driven production systems before introducing them into operational environments.
The facility combines NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, PhysX, Cosmos and NeMo with OpenUSD-based digital twin workflows. These technologies support simulation, robotic training, virtual validation and the development of increasingly autonomous manufacturing systems.
One of the laboratory’s central components is an AI-native factory environment that integrates industrial robots, collaborative robots, drones and other autonomous machines.
The company has also introduced an operations intelligence system designed to verify AI-generated actions before they are executed by connected manufacturing equipment.
This approach is intended to improve the reliability and safety of autonomous operations across production, quality control, maintenance and other industrial processes.
According to L&T Technology Services, the laboratory will allow customers to evaluate manufacturing applications through live demonstrations and simulated industrial scenarios.
Speaking to Business Standard, CEO Amit Chadha confirmed that the company currently has approximately four Physical AI clients, including two in North America and two in Europe.
The company is also planning a similar facility in the United States before the end of its 2026–2027 financial year.
