GigaAI and PaXini Partner to Combine World Models With Tactile Robotics

GigaAI and PaXini AI have signed a strategic partnership to combine world models, tactile perception and robot data infrastructure as they build embodied AI systems that can operate across different robot platforms.

The agreement brings together GigaAI’s GigaWorld world model and GigaBrain embodied intelligence stack with PaXini’s work in high precision tactile sensing, dexterous hands, multimodal data collection and robot hardware.  

The companies plan to create an integrated loop spanning data collection, training, testing and real world feedback. PaXini will provide physical interaction data through its tactile sensors and multimodal systems, while GigaAI will use its world models and simulation infrastructure to generate and validate training data.

The resulting software and hardware stack is intended to work across multiple robot embodiments rather than being tied to a single platform.

PaXini, founded in 2021, has built a technology stack covering tactile sensors, dexterous hands, data collection, embodied models and robot bodies. The company says consumption of its proprietary tactile chips approached one million units over the past year, while its multimodal datasets are already being used by several embodied AI model developers and large technology companies.  

GigaAI is developing its own physical AI stack around GigaWorld, GigaBrain and its Maker robot platform. At the World Robot Conference this year, the company released GigaBrain-0.7, alongside a whole body control model and its Maker L01 robot.  

The partnership also forms part of PaXini’s newly launched PaXini Inside ecosystem program, which is designed to integrate its sensing and data technology into external robotics platforms.
