The investment was announced on October 13 and marks the company’s fourth financing round in approximately six months.
The round was led by Donghai Investment, an investment arm of Shenzhen Investment Holdings, with participation from Hongtai Fund, Ninghai Xingtaihe Fund managed by Guanghua Sunshine, ShanHeng Capital and returning investor Xianmu Capital.
Astribot plans to use the capital to accelerate AI model development, expand its engineering team, increase manufacturing capacity and support commercial deployments.
Founded in Shenzhen in December 2022, Astribot develops humanoid robots using cable-driven actuation technology. Its approach combines proprietary AI models, an embodied operating system and robotic hardware designed for high-speed, precise manipulation.
The company’s product portfolio includes the S1 research and development platform and the T1 humanoid, introduced in May 2026 with a starting price of ¥89,900 ($12,600).
Astribot has been expanding its commercial activities across retail, industrial automation, research and education. The company has previously announced agreements involving thousands of robots, although the number of completed deliveries under these arrangements has not been independently verified.
The latest financing follows a Series B funding announcement in June, when Astribot reported raising more than ¥1 billion across three rounds and reaching a valuation exceeding ¥10 billion.
Its newly reported ¥15 billion valuation represents a substantial increase within four months.
