Jonathan Ross is the Founder of Groq and Chief Software Architect at NVIDIA. He founded Groq in 2016 after working at Google, where he initiated and helped design the first-generation Tensor Processing Unit (TPU). At Groq, he created the architecture behind its Language Processing Unit (LPU) for high-speed AI inference and served first as CTO and later as CEO. In December 2025, he left the CEO role to join NVIDIA as Chief Software Architect.
