RobotBrain links SpaceData’s existing SpaceBrain simulation environment to physical machines. Customers can model robot types, fleet sizes, routes, equipment interactions and safety conditions before transferring an approved configuration to the real hardware.
Operational data covering robot movement, completed work and abnormal events is then returned to the virtual environment. SpaceData says the platform can use those records to produce revised operating plans, routes or control recommendations for human approval.
The system includes a common connection layer for operating robots and sensors from multiple manufacturers. It is designed to integrate with existing warehouse, production and equipment-management systems through standardized data models and APIs instead of replacing them.
RobotBrain covers autonomous mobile robots, forklifts, quadrupeds, drones, robotic arms, construction equipment, service robots, cameras and other sensors. Its four main functions are pre-deployment testing, fleet and route optimization, creation of synthetic or imitation-learning data and virtual training for remote operators and new employees.
SpaceData is offering the platform directly to companies and plans to provide OEM versions through partners. Initial target sectors include construction, logistics, property management, airports, railways, power generation and industrial plants. The company also plans to apply operating methods developed in commercial environments to disaster-response and defence systems.
