Lumi is priced at $39,990 for an initial run of 100 Founder Edition robots, with deliveries planned for 2026. The price includes one year of Lightberry’s software platform.
The robot is built on Unitree’s G1 platform but replaces several of its standard components. Lightberry has added a custom sensor and compute stack built around NVIDIA’s Jetson Thor T4000, alongside an eight-microphone array and dual stereo cameras for voice detection, face tracking and visual perception.
Lumi has 34 degrees of freedom, including a three-DoF neck and parallel grippers, and runs on a 421 Wh battery with an estimated 2.5 to 3.5 hours of active operation.
Lightberry is focused primarily on interaction rather than industrial manipulation. Lower-level perception, movement and face tracking run locally on the robot, while language, character and planning tasks can use cloud-based AI models.
The company has already tested an earlier version of the system at the ElevenLabs Summit, where its Beach Boy robot operated for 10.5 hours as an autonomous event photographer.
Software will also be a separate part of the business. Lightberry currently prices full software access at $20,000 per year, with plans to introduce different usage tiers after the first 100 units.
While Lumi currently uses a Unitree G1 as its mechanical base, Lightberry says its software is hardware-agnostic and is already being used by enterprise customers on other robotic platforms.
