The announcement was made on October 8 at RETAIL EXPO Tokyo 2026.
The company’s hardware lineup includes H1, a bipedal humanoid designed for human-facing environments, and C1, a wheeled dual-arm robot intended for mobile manipulation in stores and convenience outlets.
H1 supports interaction in more than 20 languages and includes 45 facial expressions and 36 gestures. The company also provides an open API for further development and integration.
C1 uses a narrow omnidirectional mobile base designed to navigate retail aisles without major modifications to existing shelving.
Its working height extends from 100 mm to more than 1,750 mm, allowing it to access shelves at different levels. The robot combines depth sensing and 360-degree vision to detect obstacles and pedestrians, with emergency braking when objects are detected within 30 cm.
Alongside the hardware, CP AI Robotics introduced SLM-0.5, a latent world-action model designed to predict how robotic actions change the surrounding environment.
The company reports a 98.6% average success rate on LIBERO and 91.22% on RoboTwin, with next-action prediction taking 0.187 seconds. It claims inference is up to 24 times faster than conventional video-prediction approaches, although independent comparisons have not been published.
The broader software architecture includes STEAM, a post-training framework using human feedback, and RPent, an agent framework combining perception, reasoning, memory and execution.
CP AI Robotics also introduced M1, a management platform supporting task assignment, fleet monitoring and coordination between different robot configurations. The company claims its system can autonomously complete up to 99% of tasks under specified operating conditions. It did not disclose sufficient information to independently assess those results.
An initial partner-testing program is beginning, with commercial services planned for 2027. Customers are expected to have the option of purchasing robots or subscribing through a Robotics-as-a-Service model.
CP AI Robotics also plans to introduce a precision-manipulation robot called A1 and additional hardware for heavier workloads.
